It promised more than it delivered. I think I read that the director had a very unhappy time making it due to studio pressures.There are moments in all the sequels that stand up, just the films overall are a bit crap.
Resurrection has a few good bits, but the aliens look sort of crap and the newborn thing is terrible. Ron Perlman though, always a bonus. AvP is cheap and cheerful. AvP2 is utter shite apart from the bit where the lass gets on the wrong end of the Predator throwing star.
