Oddly, this won't view in firefoxWell, the clock renders, not the background, unless I open the image as a new page.

That's annoyingWebkit browsers are a bit buggy too; the background won't appear unless the same image is already loaded somewhere else on the page. That's why there's a 1-px blob just above the clock up there ^
