I also am enjoying it. Both me and my son found both episodes amusing, especially the woman/hammer incident. Although I'm not sure if that was meant to be funny...

I particularly like the new mix of characters. It's like reverse-consolidation of those of the movie.

The Coens do some great stuff, but they always risk making something so stylised - so deep in isolated characters and cultural symbolism - that the result is unbearably grim and unwatchable (*ahem* A Serious Man) despite being superlative 'cinematography'.
