I had a dream last night that I managed to persuade the Queen that the whole political system was so FUBAR that she should just step in and we'd go back to a good old-fashioned dynastic monarchy for a few generations.Oddly, on waking, the idea didn't seem to lose a great deal of merit.

Elected members of parliament or magic space wizard appointed ruler? I think I prefer elections. Monarchy sort of made sense when it was about the guy who could best protect your tribe. Once it became hereditary representative of space wizard, not so much.
