If you want to really make the skin work take some colour cues from Jenny Saville or Lucian Freud's portraits

A friend did me up as a naughty nurse one Halloween.
She used some green as part of the makeup foundation. At first I was puzzled, but the result was as convincing as possible for my face structure.
It was fun watching the look on young men's faces when I would reject their offers for a dance in my natural voice.

ever tried it on a colour image to see how well you do?
I mean, get a colour image, turn it to grayscale, colourise it and then compare to the original
