There's two of them,
one types and the other hammers the shift key.
One of them (the typer) is feathered and is a bittern. The other (the shifter) is spiny and is a porcupine.

This is because
the Bittern has a long neck and bill and is accustomed to stabbing at things with his bill (worms, snails, keyboards), whereas the porcupine is a clumsy bugger and can only handle one key.
