it's only expesnive because the providers have kept it there......pure exploitation. Nothing to do with physical cost at all.
Anyway, it's getting cheap now.
Satellite is very expensive and only really an option for commercial use.
The big new transatlantic cable we had to put in just to carry all the extra b3ta traffic has put Europe in economic jeopardy though.
