# I feel that we need to have a 'how-to' guide for new users
instead of just suggesting that they read the faq, request that they look at the 'beginners guide to b3ta' which would have everything they need to know in a few short paragraphs. its my experience that most people just look at one item in the faq at a time, ie, 'aha thats how to post a link to my picture' then they get sent back to the faq, 'aha, thats how i put an image instead of a link' then they get sent back again, 'aha, i can't post from geocities, etc, but I can use MSN groups'
if people read through the FAQ completely, it would be fine, but no one does, so we need something in its place.

THE ABOVE IS IN NO WAY MEANT TO BE MEAN TO THE NEW MEMBER POSTING ABOVE, I just thought now would be a god time to voice my opinion

# yeah
but I'm not sure what format it would take.

Sargant has a lovely graphic explaining how to post images...maybe it could be expanded.

# yeah

because they can't manage to make anywhere else work...
