you know, this is just my opinion(and therefore worth very little) but I think Hospital Porter would look, if anything, better on your CV.
1. it's more unusual - ie. more initiative on your part in looking for work.
2. employers these days like to see a bit of 'community minded' stuff on there.
3. shop work will bore you senseless, and it'll be easier to get if you move around the country.
