I'm not a bit Michael Caine fan, generally.. I find
him a bit dull.
It's just he got the parts and the style absolutely
*spot on* for those two films.... He's all in favour
of the remakes apparently... Sad thing is, I'll have to go an watch them.

The latest stuff is unquestionably garbage, but
he's still revered and applauded in Hollywood.. which,
like you say, at his stage of his career is fair play!
