I had a landline connected so I could get broadbandit's x-directory, the only person who has the number is dutchbird.
It was disconnected for 2 years, and I am already getting calls from withheld numbers.
I haven't answered them yet, as they ring when she's still on her way home, but I may get a copy of that and test it out.

Y'know, there's a mailing preference site.It takes a couple of months to kick in after you register, but it does work - even Capital One don't send me crap any more:
