I find cows quite sinister.
When you cross a field with some of them in, they follow you across with big blank eyes, and I don't like it at all.

Its sheep that scare me.
If you go up and walk on the moors (which I did, in the mist) they all stop and look at you and there are hundreds of the buggers.

me too.
i found if I started to run then they would too. Before you know it, comedy scene of man being chased by herd of cows.
It was too scary though and I couldn't stop running in case they all just stampeded over me. So I jumped over a fence into someone's garden.
They made me tea.
