LasermonksNot odd at all. Historically, monks have baked and sold bread, relied on agricultural pursuits, baked and sold fruitcake, produced wine, and of course copied manuscripts to cover their minimal living expenses and help support charitable works.
These are monks of the 21st century and are using the technology we all use and love and profit from as their business endeavor.
I applaud their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit as well as their prices!! (they have excellent prices on ink and computer accessories)
As far as the site being boring, well....as an avid internet consumer I care more about the product, price and customer service than the bells and whistles)...but then again, I am a grownup. :-)
