Have you ever heard of a Monte Cristo sandwich?It's a popular dish at Disneyland, apparently. It starts life as a fairly nice sounding turkey, ham and cheese sandwich, but then gets dipped in batter, deep fried and served with sugar sprinkled on top. Fruit compote and watered down jammy sauce on the side.

Monte Cristo ...You can get that most places here.
US food still fascinates me. I remember first couple of
days here staying in a hotel. At breakfast buffet watching people calmly walk round putting savoury items on a plate; sausages;eggs; potatos etc then covering everything in syrup.
