when I moved to London Town I used to work at Old Street......right close to Moorfields Eye Hospital and the Deaf Institute. I thought that London was full of afflicted people till I figured out the proximity of these places. pubs were always full of deaf people.

When I first came to London I madelandfall at Hammersmith at about 11.30pm. Walking down King Street was like being in the Night of the Living Dead - lots of shuffling drunks lurching around the place and bumping into each other, me, lamposts, traffic etc.
And, very soon, I became one of those shuffling drunks...
