# Can't top it,
but where I used to live in Brighton, there was a small part of the middle floor of the building that when you walked over to it, you felt cold.
There was no explanation for it, it was right in the middle of the floor and there were no air vents nearby or anything.
The road I used to live on was Brighton's 'red-light' district shortly after completion and so my house was basically full of whores (mmm, whores) at some earlier stage in it's life. What had happened was that one night, this bloke had visited a prostitute, raped her and killed her. Then he killed himself in the room right next to this 'cold' area.

If you stood there long enough and the house was empty, you could hear what sounded like scratching noises...

Although we put that down to the house being infested with squirrels.

*edit* the cold thing was never explained.

#
Clifton Hill. It used to have gates on the top and bottom of it to contain the lewdness. Which is where the "saucy seaside" image comes from apparently.

# Ooh, ghosts 5 minutes from my house.
I'd have thought Clifton Hill would be a nicer area, what with the childrens hospital at the end of the road!
Was this a house just a couple of houses nearer my road from the Crescent, on the same side?

# Yes. It's
No. 2, it's big and scary in itself.
When my own room on the top floor had to have some maintenance (new roof) put on it, I had to stay in the middle-flor spare room. I shit it every time I had to go through the hallway as that is where I could swear I could see things moving every time I went through without turning on the light.
