# this involves a picture.
make of it what you will, but take note that the picture was taken in one of the spooky houses I've lived in.

This was taken around the same time as dabbler had the 'Egyptian Book of The Dead', he was messing around with all sorts, including this particular nice peice of rose quartz used for his divination purposes. (btw, dabler is my brother, if you haven't read the rest of these waffles, then do so... they all interlink each other somehow. For my family they do at least.)

I had recently (at time of taking photo) started a course in Black & White photography, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I took a liking to using extension tubes, to get in to really tight nooks and crannies so to speak, and get those really close-up piccies that look great on a wall.

Anyway, one night I'd decided to have use of my brothers (dabblers) crystals just for the sole purpose of taking close up shots.

Now, when I set the camera up, which does take a while with close up stuff, nothing was able to move (you check these things, because you don't want a crap photo), niether camera nor subject. Although, there's always the chance that something will happen.

Anyhow, I took the photo and left it for about a week, having finished the reel of 24 shot film, and went and developed it.

And, what do you see?

I'd have thought nothing of it (and maybe no other person will), but I can't dismiss the fact that the crystal was of dabblers possesion.

This isn't a ghost story (or maybe it is I don't know), but I really needed a change for a while, go and get some food and brew and whatnot...
...Just remember though, that this thing was used for divination purposes, and it is said that crystals accumulate energies...

-----------------------------------
details of photo are:

Ricoh camera (not sure of make), but Through The Lens metering used.
F2.8, 2 second shot, black and white film 35mm @ 200asa.
extension tubes used = 54mm, and a 140mm telephoto lense added. Unsure of distance from subject to film, though.
subject was an inch high peice of rose quartz, placed on a stable flat surface, although, the subject was further stablised using a large piece of blue tack.
The environment was around 16Celcius, and non-natural light - ie, striplight and a spot light 100W bulb.
Edit: Multi-grade Ilford A4 paper, but I can't remember the development times, of lense apperture.

# Anyway,
back to this current house.

I still see figures from the corner of my eyes, the most sensitive parts (supposedly - I don't know).

There is one figure at the moment spending a little too much time worrying me.. It's always at a distance though - 6 to 8 feet, always, and sometimes circling around me as though eying me, weighing me up.

Yes, it can all be taken as paranoia of some kind, delusions of one or another, or even bull-crap. But, I've passed all those 'am I going mad' thoughts about 6 years ago, when we first moved into this house.

Anyway, the figure, so far as I can tell, wears a hooded robe type of thing, I haven't seen a face, because it's too far out of my direct vision to notice any really specific details. However, I have seen a space in the hood of the robe.

I say I haven't seen a face in the hood of the robe, which worries me more, but not too much worry, because it's important to not let these things get to you - but they sometimes do!

The robe colour is black, or dark so I perceive it as black. I haven't seen any kind of flesh either, ie hands, feet, etc. More worry!

There are certain parts of this house that I cannot stand in or even go to at times, due to feeling very uneasy about it. I trust my feelings nowadays.

When something is about to happen, visitation or sighting, or something, the atmosphere always gets really cold and a few times I've seen the air I'm breathing because of the cold. Always over a short period of time no longer than about half to 1 minute, the temperature will drop. And, the visitaions will last at least 10 minutes.

The pets squawk and make awful noises sometimes, but I'm not sure if this is something I've not ruled out... but it's odd when they do. For no reason they all start flapping, and jumping, and all sorts, as though something had scared them.

I am trying to build up the courage to walk around the house recording the sounds... thing is though, I'm certain I'll record something I don't really want to hear.

# just finished reading all you rstuff mate.
You could always record the sounds, and upload them or something without listening yourself for others to listen to for you. Providing you can trust the people not to lie about what they hear just to try and freak you out.

# Its normal
Its the energy from the stone- ours around the house do it all the time (yeah, my family are 'alternative medicine' kinda people). They get stronger around Full moons ('female' energy or something) Thats why some people carry/wear crystals most of the time.

# And sometimes they burn
I've burned my fingertips and hands on some of my "dabbling" friend's crystals.

ow.

# no disrespect
but what am i looking for? it's a blurry photo of a bit of quartz.
(, Tue 28 Oct 2003, 18:08, archived)
# Ah, well.
What are you looking for? This is the point; are you looking for something ready to jump out at you or just a rock?

If I told you what other people see, I'd be accused of prompting you to see that thing other people see, rather than what you actually see.

Therefore, make your own mind up...

Something / Nothing ?

# I see things!
I see things, I see them with my eyes,
I see things, though they're cleverly disguised, like: faces, people, ugly monkeys!
His mouth, btw, is (in my opinion) the reflection of an upside down monkey.
(, Tue 28 Oct 2003, 22:23, archived)
# hmm. i am trying to look with open mind
possibly suggestion of teeth and little black things, might be considered a skull if you were being generous. is it something in the reflection?
(, Wed 29 Oct 2003, 12:46, archived)
# Not certain
if it's reflection.

I was in a kitchen, standing about 50cm to 1m away from subject, stooping behind a camera & tripod.

Kitchen had what you'd expect in a kitchen - utensils, etc.

# I see nothing
Except Domokun at an angle. What do others see?
(, Wed 29 Oct 2003, 15:04, archived)
# i see
bugger all

suggest away.

# surely,
you're able to read what others have put... why should I put an image in your head; I have put a story for you to decide it's truth/reality and/or actual/sugested/expected image in picture. Whatever you want it to be.

If it's imagination you want to use, copy the post from above. Or, just read the previous post I added saying that I saw a face. =)

# wishy washy
load of bollocks that ;)
(, Fri 31 Oct 2003, 10:06, archived)
# I See Dead People..oh, wait, it's just a reflection.
I can see a face in it, with a Michael Myersesque figure behind him. It looks kind of like the reflection of the photographer, with someone over their shoulder looking at them. It is quite freaky, actually.
(, Wed 29 Oct 2003, 16:43, archived)
# Ugh!
arrrgh! and all the usual stuff...

Yep, I saw a face. This picture was taken in a kitchen. The crystal was nicely stuck to a worktop, and I was stood behind the camera with a shutter release cable in my hand... Either I look a bit malnutritioned, or kitchen utensils have a tendancy to appear as what you see.

?

Not sure...

=)
(, Wed 29 Oct 2003, 23:37, archived)
# Obviously
I'm not spookily minded today because all I can see is a crystal. : (
(, Thu 30 Oct 2003, 13:46, archived)
# I coulda sworn
that something moved near the bottom of the photo, sideways from right to left. Are you sure you havent animated that gif styley?
