# scary sleepwalk or teleportation or summat
when i was about 7-8ish i went on a trip with my parents to see the mary rose down in portsmouth. we stayed at a hilton. one of those cheap hotels called hilton more like travel inn than a posh place. i fell asleep in my bed. and woke up standing up in the pitch black. feeling around i could feel what seemed like a sink and bumbled about banging into other bathroom like furniture. nowhere could i find anysort of light switch. this is more than a bit scary when you are 7ish. but i was a pragmatic kiddy and realised i had probably sleptwalked into the bathroom. stumbling about i found my way out of the bathroom and still in pitch black i walked into the edge of a bed. at this point i heard someone groan and mutter in sleep and turn over. the room i went to bed in was just me, no-one else. this is when i got really scared. not wanting to wake whoever this person was i crept in total blackness round the walls until i found the door to the room and eventually out into the corridor. not only was this not my room, this wasn't even the same floor.

to this day i have no idea how i got into that room (locked like hotel rooms generally are presumably)or who was in there. i do know that when i got back to my room, the door was ajar, so presumably i exited that way rather than spontainiously teleported.

i have never sleptwalked before or after that day.
