All of the services SHOULD work, in theory anyway.
I know what you mean about the email though, my dad was in the same predicament. We just downgraded to their cheapest dialup package, thus keeping the email address, but still not paying too much.

they changed our contract, and now if i want to use the dial-up, it costs me about 20p a minute, because they are assholes....

Ah, but the loveliness is
we don't USE the dialup. We use our ADSL connection. Then we just check the email accounts through AOL.com (or using the AOL software in TCP/IP mode), so we only pay the £4.99 or whatever it is per month for the fee, and no actual phone costs (because we're not dialling up into their network).
Don't wanna sound like I'm having a go, just suggesting an alternative :)
