# i think this new fangled DivX format has .avi extensions
so you'll need their special codec. i know before i downloaded the codec, i could hear DivX videos but not se them.

it's just minimalist. they have a super-duper paid-for version, a mid-range version either paid for or with gator, and a simple codec for free.
