There was a short livedad on the telly very similar to that - IIRC it didn't last very long.
It was roughly along the lines of:
Happy Family enjoying Life.
Bloke comes on and says 'Isn't it lovely?' etc. then 'But what if you were to die?' at which point one of the parents simply fades away, cue formerly Happy Family now sad and miserable.
Always thought it was creepy (but funny too - well I am b3tan.)
