one thing thats bugging meIf I make a selection in 1 image and copy it to clipboard. Then go to another image and hit paste, it pastes the clipboard onto the middle of the second image and just dumps it in the middle. In PSP I'm used to it being selected when I pasted it in. Here I seem to have to re-select it manually if I wanna shift it around.
Is there a proper way of doing this? Or is that for kids and sissy's?

hold controland move it around using the mouse
and if you hold control and click the layer it's pasted into on the layers toolbar it'll select it automagically

Use the area select tool and 'align layer to selection'! The MAN's way!
