# nominate your favourite pictures posted on b3ta here:
i'm making a proper good B3TA 2004 calendar. i no someone's done it before, but not in a print off and keep way.
nominate here:

# Yup, been done
http://www.cartelcommunique.co.uk/b3ta/front.htm
July's a particularly good month
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:09, archived)
# but thats way too fluffly
you need an anti-fluff version too
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:11, archived)
# yeah, but this one is gonna have loads more images
and it's gonna fill the page etc etc and it's gonna be like an ACTUAL calendar, instead of having a tiny calendar bit and a naked person holding it...
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:11, archived)
# The actual calander is
inside, click the little "open" link down the bottom right
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:12, archived)
# well it'll still be better, trust me
it'll be fluffier AND funnier and have legend of the month... what more could you want?
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:13, archived)
# Fair enoughski ;)
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:14, archived)
# Jeez
you sure like that trumpet of yours
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:14, archived)
# not my fault
it's a big trumpet.. ;)
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:18, archived)
# the return
of the topless b3tan calendar...

or better still, just making our own with our personal favorite image of the time...

no, actually, what I'd really like is a program that prints this month's calendar text over the bottom-right corner of my monitor, overlayed on my desktop wallpaper.
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:16, archived)
# but then you'd have to
put in EFFORT.
who would want to do that?
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:18, archived)
# you're right
after all, no-one here would want to spend a few minutes, a couple of hours, or in some cases a few weeks working on a picture/animation purely for fun

oh...
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:24, archived)
# :)
still...
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:26, archived)
# it's gonna have funny AND fluffy messages, and B3TA legends of the day...
it'll be great
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:12, archived)
# Ooooo
not seen that yet? Very good though.

and that's got nothing to with it having 4 of my cartoons in of course
; )
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:28, archived)
# I nominate
this one here because its fantastic
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:10, archived)
# I've already made one
with MY personal favorites... it's far more enjoyable that way

you make YOUR own one if you wish, and others can make THEIR own ones, and we can ALL have our OWN favorites... and be much happier :)
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:12, archived)
# but this
is gonna be the definative one
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:14, archived)
# + noone else will have to do any work except
pressing 'print'.
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:14, archived)
# it won't be "definative"
it'll just be your choices... you've not even picked images for people to nominate - considering there's hundreds of pics shown here daily, and thousands of people making and viewing them, there's almost no way you're going to be able to get down to a final 12 purely based on most votes cast

besides, I don't own a printer

"b3ta legend of the day/week/month", what's that all about then? there's no-one that special on here that they need singling out in any way - we all shit the same as everyone else, and put our underpants on one leg at a time (well, the ones that wear undies)...

a truly definitive b3ta calendar should also be an official b3ta production, with the mods and staff picking their favorites. and I think it'd have to be one of those block-sized desktop calendars with a day/image to a page, and it'd still be out of date before the end of the first week
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:23, archived)
# A few points
1. It won't just be 12 pics, there will be more than one every month

2. B3TA legend of the month doesn't mean indivial B3TA members it means the likes of No HAnds, Domo and the Furtive Bear...
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:25, archived)
# A furtive penguin?
Now this I gotta see...

EDIT: Damn you *shakes fist*
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:27, archived)
# Typo
There will be none of those in the calendar :)
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:28, archived)
# oh,
you mean "meme of the month" then... and it's Furtive Bear and Fluffy Penguin
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:28, archived)
# All what, 4 of them? won't last very long

(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:30, archived)
# gees christ
not just the memes
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:31, archived)
# if you want to be fussy there is a furtive penguin (and a fluffy one)
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:30, archived)
# it's nice that berk labelled it that
but it's hardly a meme, it's merely in the kit. I can't recall ever recognising it in anything, so it's most certainly inelligible for "legend" status
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:33, archived)
# watermelon this
i can't be bothered. just trying to be nice and create a calendar for everyone and i get this...
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:32, archived)
# lost the board for a second there...
didn't mean to break your spirit, I was just engaging you in reasoned discourse on why this might not be as simple an undertaking as you thought...

of course, the fact that no images have been nominated may have caused you to stumble soon anyhow ;) you'e a good contributor, you've caught onto the mindset here very quickly - but you're still young (15 days a member)... with the old spazz being offline, finding "favorite pics" from the last month, let alone the last year, is a really difficult proposition anyway.

why not make your own calendar with your favorites, and just offer it out if anyone wants it, instead of trying to make "the biggest and best"?

p.s. look up, or in fact I'll just bung it here too: www.myfreecalendarmaker.com/

# go on, nominate
you know you want to
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:16, archived)
# Calendar hey...
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:19, archived)
# sorry, it's not an original idea...
i just thought it would be... nice.
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:20, archived)
# It is.
But it's also a repost link opportunity for me :)
(, Sat 22 Nov 2003, 13:21, archived)
