they passed me by.i hated them at first, but every now & then someone covered one of their tunes & made me realise they were actually rather good.

Smiths covers are invariablybetter than the originals, because Morrissey wasn't a great singer. Listen to Billy Bragg doing Never Had No-One Ever or Schneider TCP's techno version of There is a Light That Never Goes Out.
