# pardon my most heinous threadwasting
and most gracious woos to the thought provoking and original picture.

does anyone have such a pic or know the corect name for the orange segmenty map?

# Oh, get you! With your fancy books and learning! ;-)
In answer the original question: decent world maps are suprisingly difficult to find.

# *googles*
unfortunatly not. its kind of like if you unpeeled an orange, broke 2 segments so it was a 'C' from the top and strung the bits inside out so some were joined at the top and some at the bottom, from the side it would form a 'W' shape. sort of.

meant to show the earth with less distortion, but i'm beginning to believe i dreamt it :(
