I just like the idea

and I'd rather people were just nice to each other always. I despise the need to have a special day to pretend that you're being nice to each other and then that they don't even do it

even if you buy that special someone a present every now and again for no real reason, if you don't do something on valentines day you are a cold monster with a heart of stone.
