Place a mirror on the centreline, then put your nose against the mirror and look 'through' it at the other side (both eyes open)

but the mirror isn't big enough to get all of the picture in at that angle, although it works on the bits I can see in the mirror. Maybe if I had a mirror without a frame it would be better.
