A thought, if you still haven't found an outlet for your stuff...Have you done anything hunting-related (specifically shooting-with-a-rifle type hunting)? If so, I may be able to put in a good word for you on a new magazine they've just started at my company. None of the others are really cartoony-type mags, but the new one's still finding its way.
