Try cutting them rough with 1 or 2 pixels left on the outside. Select the inverse and go "select - modify - border", then radial bluring.
That or adding 1 or 2 pixel feathering to your selection. And/or anti aliasing turned on.
Or just get good at cutting things out.

I always cut slightly inside...
select them normally, and then decrease selection by a pixel or two. guaranteed no edge then...

Lack of careful cutting...
...is due to the coffee still not wearing off - though that's hardly an excuse really...
Ah well - if you fail badly once, do even worse the next time... ;)
