why not collect the images you want to use, put them on your own website, and invite people to look at it, and if they ask you to take it down do so?

Of course I'd do it for amusement only,I wouldn't earn a (Euro-) Cent with it. I'll think about that website idea - problem would be to make it popular enough without pissing everyone off by repeated posting.

There is always the pointthat most of the original (pre shopped) images were stolen anyway so permission from the artist who shopped it would only be half.
SO what the others say is best, post them and ask people to own up.

That gives me the ideato put them up and connect the image collection to a database, so people can input their username if they did a particular image. I may do that then.
