# its still huge though
if you're going to optimise,
optimise it HARD!

85KB, Websnap Adaptive, 16 colours, no dithering, no loss

# Awesome
what site/program did you use?

# Macromedia Fireworks MX
its ace at optimising and web graphics

# This weighs in at 73K

Considering the amount of movement in the pic I'd say that's quite good, done in Ani Shop...

# cool, quite a lot of colour there too.
cutting every other frame out helps when making gifs from vidcaps too.

# It's animated so every other frame is a 'half-frame'
Where it's a blend of the two drawn frames, so I already did that. Also I find for cel-shaded stuff using nearest colour instead of a smart filter lets you hack away more colours without loss, I think I still managed 128 in that one though.

EDIT: To clarify, cel-shaded videos use a system to ensure you only draw half as many frames, so every other frame of the DVD is blended, as such the first thing you do is get rid of those 'half-and-half' frames, as such I've already chopped every other frame.

# i have a video encoder for my pda
that has either 'film' or 'anime' as the encoding modes, so i guess the anime one uses that cel-shading trick.
