Modor ends up being somewhere around Surrey or Sussex, doesn't it? I wasn't aware of a literary connection between geographical areas of England and Middle Earth. Could be that I am just not remembering it too well. It has been some time since I read the books.

Mordor is based on Birmingham, Tolkien fucking hated the place.
