someone did something with one of my ads
took fucking hours to scan the tapes, capture & encode those adverts from my old betamax tapes (b3tamax? ;)

hahaha that's great
saw it before but didn't recognise it, now I do; the Wrigleys "what chewable drug is that?" gum advert
the hairstyles in that penguin ad remind me of being 7 years old (cos I had hair like that in the late 70s/early 80s :( )

I've been halfway through
a milk tray gif for around six months now (but the one where he scales the castle wall, not the one in the archive)
Still can't think of a half decent punchline, though :/

i tried to make
a chump production line earlier (another one from the stringe gum ad) but the camera moves and i can't make it loop properly... it's going to require some proper editing so it's gone into the 'needs work' folder...
*arg spider... back shortly*
edit: rarr! spider catcher extraordinaire!

Gah!
With my jumping Cherie gif, I just played the anim forwards and then backwards to get a loop which made it all very easy. I guess you can't do that if you have a production line, though :/

that's how i did the robot...
but the production line is an arse... the teddy bears made quite good chumps too... :)

Ooh!
Was that you?
Dunno if you're interested, but your work seems to be well travelled - I, uh, aquired the archive from uknova.com the other week. Top stuff!

great to hear it's travelled
when I first put it up on bittorrent on suprnova, within 12 hours there were over 100 people downloading it
I specifically didn't put any intros or crappy logos in the corner of the videos because intros and logos suck
when I first started selling it a couple of years ago someone emailed me with a request to get hold of two copies urgently, the next day someone from the company turned up to collect! turned out it was for some advertising company, must've been great reference material for them
