Do you know of anywhere with a good beach?Every time I go up there, I get stuck in some area with a bunch of private beaches (or a strip of beach 50 feet long that you have to pay $10 to park at). Very upsetting.

there'sa little inlet on Cape Neddick on the coast road between York and Ogunquit that I'm partial to. Ogunquit's not bad, but it's full of Quebec tourists in the summer and parking is a problem. Thers's Long Sands and Short Sands in York, but they're pretty touristy too.
I really don't know too much about anything further north.
