# New Zealand originally,
and definitely don't think Taiwan's part of China. No massive political motivation for the belief, but having been to both, I really do think Taiwan is markedly different to the mainland. That, and I believe that any place's people should have the right to determine their own fate, and the majority here aren't in favor of being brought into the Communist fold.

# Yeah, I know that, most of the world recognises it
It's just China that refuses to see it. I'm in South China myself at the min and it's actually written into my contract not to mention this kind of stuff.

# Jesus!
That's harsh. Heading your way in July, but just for holiday....

# We won't tell if you don't.
And it doesn't surprise me about the contract thing. Ah well, long as the job and living are alright eh?

# Pfft
I'm not renewing my contract, put it that way.

Edit: Did you guys notice China sneaking that policy through that would mean it's literally an act of war for Taiwan to declare itself independant? Scary stuff given that it looks like it's going to be approved :s

# Well,
there's plenty of room over this way.

# Certainly did
A million protested against it here. Bet that wasn't in the news where you are!

# Actually the law's already been passed.
I was part of the protest myself. Hell of a thing, that protest, and that law is scary as fuck. Definitely making sure I've got fundage to get the hell out of here when the bombs start dropping.
