no, you're not - I feel queasy about these kind of jokes too, but think that 1) people need to joke about even the most terrible and appalling elements of human behaviour, not because they condone them, but because they need to diffuse the power such events have, and 2) people can make jokes here which they wouldn't make in other social settings (although of course the board has its own social codes) and 3) there's a bit of bravado about it - not wanting to look like a wimp for not laughing...

actually,
i would willingly, publicly, wet myself laughing over such a joke. also, people are laughing about these things precisely because they are so terrible, it doesn't diffuse the terribleness at all. also, you're perfectly allowed to not laugh at it, just as i am free not to laugh at the vicar of dibley.
p.s. i also wank whenever i see pictures of holocaust victims.
