hummmmm....your gonna wanna have a nice big hard drive(maybe 2, so you can keep your music stuff away from the misses), a good deal of ram, and a nice 'n' quick processor (i say, steer clear of the celeron, i say)

Tell me about it...... Got a 500mh p3 Dell that actually cries when I'm making tunes at the moment. Greedy music software, phat .wav samples - Arrrghhh. Need new pc quick, but not enough time to actually make one myself...

also,get a decent soundcard with low latency if you're making music - get a hammerfall if you you have too much money ;-)
