Probably because the height of technology back then was a 16-bit soundblaster. The music works though, oddly enough. Just not the sounds/voices :(

you might have a bit of luck using something like vmware and running e.g. win98 inside it

I have an older machine in the workshop, with dos 6.22 and windows 3.11 on it... do bloody rightly :-)
I'll leave the new boy to its GTA SA and battlefield 2 etc..

that allowed you to play old Lucasarts games somehow - using Virtual Scumm or something.. i think...
