I have scars that run from my waist to my big toe.After 25 ish operations, the last thing you feel like doing is showing them off. I look like a frikkin road map.

Different people react in different ways.I know a guy who has one of those generic Burn-Victim faces, but it's actually a fetish for him. I know others who deliberately scar one another.
I don't think you should ever feel self concious about your scars. But I'm lucky - I used to think I was hideously ugly, and then one day I woke up and forgot to give a fuck.
