# Thanks!
I only do these cos it's fun. You only need patience if you don't want to do it.

# How?
How do you do this? I've done some stop animation on my old analog cam, but I've never tried it with a digicam. Are the special tools or software needed?

# When I bought my digital camcorder it came with a FireWire card and Studio DV
which is a studio suite that lets you capture and edit videos with titles, transitions and sound effects, etc.

I don't know what decent packages are available - Adobe Premier seems much better but I've had difficulties with that so far on my machine.

But Studio DV does OK for me, I capture the individual frames in that.

Then you can add the visual effects and stuff in Adobe Photoshop or AfterEffects.

The sound effects I also added in Studio DV.
