nice kitty.i lost my drive about four years ago -- i forget what they wanted to recover the data, but it was ridiculous, so i just accepted the loss.
a couple of months ago, the husband's drive died. the shop recovered all the data for something like thirty dollars. i've been thinking of taking my old drive in to them to see if they can do anything with it.

Just for reference.....next time you need to recover stuff, look for recovery software online. There are lots of applications and they are not expensive
