# best jpg photographic stuff, unless it`s animated
use teh GIF for cartoony / line art pics with lots of solid colour

keeps the file size a lot smaller

if you have been a camera blerk from the dawn of digital. RAW is where it's at now. As for optimisation? Gimp is free and if you have low morals so are all other programs. E-mail in profile for further advice on this tack.

I really do know all this. I have both Photoshop and the Gimp installed, plus a nifty little thing called Paint.net, you might want to give it a look. It was just a quick case of painting a magenta cock onto a picture, for which MS Paint seemed the ideal solution.
And TIFF isn't really ideal for webpages.

and if you put anything other than gif or jpeg here you will be bumraped.
If you have the tools then why argue about what is suitable? Just do as the faq asks. Sorry if I pissed you off. You need a thicker skin.
