what's wrong with your PS2? Most common fault after a few years is the laser goes tits up. it's a sealed unit that is relatively inexpensive and piss easy to replace.

hmm. prbably not cost effective to fix then.
if there is a power issue as well. Never mind, it was just a thought a new laser for under £30 can be fitted in minutes but beyond that would needan engineer to fault find on it.
