It is!I can't bring myself to use "bootleg" either cos to me that is something that is recorded on the sneak (like a live concert, recorded ninja-fashion and flogged).
To be honest, I detest 95% of music mangles. People usually take two crap songs, mangle them and all of a sudden they are supposed to be fantastic? Bollocks! 1 crap song X 1 crap song = 2 crap songs! Double the crapness!

I still make them though because for some reason the punters love it.
