codec packsare nothing but trouble and are often the cause of problems. You should fuck it all off and just install DivX, Xvid, and Ogg Vorbis. If you need any more than that it would be very odd. What you ought to do is google real alternative and install that ( it's also called media player classic ) and with those three codecs and that player you il have no problem ( unless you need quicktime as well then google quicktime alternative )

what?I have the k-lite and have no problems at all.
in fact if my memory serves, it installs real alternative. teh biggest bloatware out there is apples bloody quicktime, (itunes even if you dont want it) followed by that other bastard realmedia...

yeah that's why I saidquicktime alternative. As I was saying, you just need a player that manages all files and as well as the windows installed codecs you want the three above. Anything else os pointless
