# Isn't the screen emitting photons?
It's not shiny, more bright
(, Thu 20 Apr 2006, 0:44, archived)
# well - a CRT inside an electron hits the front of the
screen on the inside - excites the phosphorous which causes it to emit a photon.... but not on an LCD thats just a light behind there.
(, Thu 20 Apr 2006, 0:47, archived)
# is the light not photons though
instead of electrons?
(, Thu 20 Apr 2006, 0:49, archived)
# the light is photons
all light is photons

(in a tv or a traditional monitor - those photons are created by electrons hitting the screen)

ons ons ons

on the subject of 'ons - I am off to bed!

Edit: and fuck me do you like your macro lens! What camera do you wield?

# That was my point
:)
the monitor is emitting photons, not electrons
(, Thu 20 Apr 2006, 0:53, archived)
# well - inside is a gun emitting electrons
outside is a screen emitting photons, as a result of that.

ba-hoops

Edit: ooh and what I did say in that there edit *points back one*

# I understand!
woop.
yay- I had no previous knowledge of how screens worked. Ta

also, the 'macro' stuff's just the kit lens with a Canon 300D. Too cheap to get a real macro lens. One day, though... one day
