The cool weather bit is on the outside,
the danish chick transfer tunnel in the central layer
the hot california weather goes through the core.
Perfectly insulated!
Also - think how fast these girls are going. They dive in head first. They're accelerating at 9.8m/s2 towards the center (about 6km) - reaching maximum velocity at the point of highest heat so they'll only be briefly exposed and just get a nice tan. Then (and this is the best bit!) they start to decelerate until they reach my back garden, upright, tanned, and just pop out slowly enough to easily catch.
There will of course be some air drag, but I think a capsule or inital firing mechanism (like the old compressed air mail tubes) could overcome that with a little work.

As the tunnel isn't perpendicular to the surface of the planet (and doesn't pass through the centre of the planet) then the acceleration will be less than 9.8m/s^2 along the tube. In fact, the net force on the hot sweedish blonde will cause her to rub on the side of the tunnel. Thus it will definitely need a low-friction carriadge to run in the tube.

Could we bend the tube to pass through the center? Then no rubbage on the swede. Just worked it out - I think (recalling my high school math and ignoring drag) Helga will be doing 346m/s (1245kph) at the center. We definitely need capsules, or its going mess up her hair.
We could also have some mass switching system down there too, so we could route hot Thai girls to London and so on.

The centripetal force at the bend in the centre of the planet though?
And are you sure about that speed? Acceleration is not a constant in this situation.
Still a top idea though!

BUt assuming no HSCD (Hot swedish chick drag) they'd accelerate to maximum velocity at about half (?) depth, decelerate to zero at the center - but because of momentum keep on rocking, acelerating again to max at 3/4 but (I think) still arrive at zero speed in my garden. The only problems now are:
1) They'd probably get a bit more of a tan than is good for them (and you know how fair skinned they all are)
2) It would take a bit longer for them to show up.
The curve at the bottom is going to be a problem though. Definitely need runners, or capsules or a big water slide type thing.
Maybe I should just use it for air conditioning after all and move to the "Tall australian blonde de-atomizing transport bay" I've back burnered recently.
EDIT: Found this: hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/Hbase/mechanics/earthole.html
It would take 42 minutes for Helga to reach me, and she'd reach a max velocity of 17,700 mph. Glad to see other people waste days at work too.
