if you dont mind using divx you could get it to 2.5 - 3 meg with virtually no loss of quality
even a pal mpeg would only be ~7 meg - avoid cinepak like the plague

right, a 3 megmpg looks fine.
i can get it a bit smaller if i lose a bit of resolution.
