# Not

I left college way back in '97 and have had less cash ever since.

# Hello
I've bin skint ever since leaving uni too - even more skint now that the radiator in my car went yesterday...

# If
it is too bad for rad weld, you could try some of that putty stuff that is used on holes in exhausts. I have never tried it on a rad' but you never know, it could help. The inlet manifold went on my old car and I repaired it using that chemical metal stuff, it held together for over a year, I got rid of it last year and now don't care if it goes now.

# Hopefully its just the hose that's split.
I had some other work done on it less than a month ago & it just seems a bit suspicious that its gone straight after. I'm calling trading standards this morning to ask if the garage has any complaints against them...

Paranoid, me?

# It's
not a Renault is it?

I had a cooling pipe bust on a clio, took it into the garage to have the work done, then had another problem.

# Yep
Its a Megane

# I have
vowed never to get another Renault since the trouble I have had.
Was the garage in question a main dealer?
(, Mon 6 Jan 2003, 9:07, archived)

# Ooo you naughty man
My rad has two holes and I must say it gives me endless hours of amusement as I sit in traffic and watch the look on peoples faces as steam seeps out from under the bonnet. I now try and time the steam release to time stopped in traffic ratio. How fun.

# You need to put on a whistle as well.
Or just sit in traffic going Woo! Woo! as your car steams.
