The Duke of Prunes is a rather more splendid Rankin Character.I am now reading KNees up Mother Earth, which i somehow managed to miss.
I think Rankin is the best author of all time, closely followed by Kurt Vonnegut Jr and, of course, Mr Adams.

i have a huge selection of his books, i have the armageddon trilogy, brightonomicon, cornelius murphy trilogy, and the brentford lot, i bought themm all on the liking of 'the musical' good god was it funny, reading about a book every 3 days at the mo.. looking forward to them immensely
